Adjusting to a new life

Hello world,

It's been awhile since I've been here so forgive me if I get to wordy or write too much.

I recently moved to Florida for health purposes and what is most difficult is adjusting to a life you never expected. One difficulty which is brutally TOUGHA is the search and wait for a new medical team. If you're anything like me then you have a primary care, anywhere between 9-11 medical specialists, a psychiatrist and a therapist. All of that in once sentence is overwhelming but imagine reaching out and making tons and tons of calls to get the appointments needed. What makes it frustrating is the long wait due to being a new patient. Having a chronic illness with 24 accompanying diagnosed conditions makes the waiting process seem endless when you know you are missing necessary treatments and medications.

The second difficulty is adjusting to a new life in a state where you are essentially alone. Social isolation is not my choice but it is absolutely my current punishment for physical and mental health reasons. Sometimes going days, and I mean dayssssss like 9+, without any actual interaction with anyone is torture when you suffer from severe depression.

The third difficulty is the financial burden of moving and starting over and having to afford all of this on a once a month disability check and no extra help from other sources or support system.

To be honest I feel out of place and lost. I don't know how to come out of this depressive downward spiral. The cruel part about depression and knowing you have it is also knowing and acknowledging when you can't do anything to make yourself better. So what ends up happening is that you unintentionally continue down the path of the darkness that you're trying so damn hard to stay very very far away from.

Well I guess I'll stop here. I already feel overwhelmed just writing all of this truth. Hope you're all having a wonderful day and if not I hope it gets better knowing you're not alone in what you're feeling.
